5 Things You Can Relate To As A Blogger

I wasn’t sure whether to write this type of post because I didn’t want to write about something that’s exclusive to certain people. But hey, it’s still something I wanted to write and why the heck not? We like a bit of #relatable content, so hopefully this is relatable to some of you. This is 5 things you’ll only understand if you’re a blogger.

1. People stare when you’re taking a pic

Yep. They stare and it’s awkward as. And you can see people thinking, “why is she dressed to the nines and posing like that in our little village?” Well, it’s called trying to get the shot. And the lengths we go to to get the perfect pic for Instagram means people are always going to stare.

2. The Instagram algorithm is the worst thing to happen to you, like ever

What is up with the instagram algorithm trying to kill your vibe and ruin your career? Like, people follow you for a reason so let them see your content. Surely it’s as simple as that. But apparently Instagram thinks it knows best. You know the frustration of posting a photo you’ve taken time and effort to create only for it to take a dive in terms of impressions and engagement. And if you’re a blogger/instagrammer then you’ll probably be very well acquainted with those two words right there in bold.

3. You buy things because “they’ll be good to blog”

Your bank account knows full well what it’s like to part with it’s money, not because you really need something or because you’ll get loads of wear out of it, but because it will be cool to blog about. And does it even matter that you’ll probably never wear it again after that? There’s never been a better excuse to go shopping than “I neeeeed to, it’s for the blog”.

4. Being without wifi is like living without food

I’ve unfortunately experienced this first hand {read the post} and never have I had worse withdrawal symptoms. You don’t realise how much you rely on the internet until it goes down with “a fault on the line”. Oh yeah, and it won’t be fixed for another four days -like whaaaat?

5. Winter becomes your least favourite season

Winter. That time you used to love because it meant cosy fires, the possibility of snow, and christmas. Well, it quickly gets boring when the light fades, it’s freezing cold and you need to go out and shoot pictures for your blog. I for one, am not about that life.
