Have Faith In Yourself, It’ll Go A Long Way

Why in the world does self-doubt have to exist in life? It’s a cruel thing which, unless you’re uber confident in yourself (and I mean, who really is?), we all have to battle with at some point or other in our lives. Us anxious types have that kind of feeling to deal with weekly, heck even on the daily. And it’s kind of one of those things that you just can’t control. It might seem stupid, totally unnecessary, and definitely unwanted, but there’s no stopping those thoughts once they leave the station. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not here to preach to you that it’s wrong to doubt yourself or have issues with self confidence (c’mon, don’t we all). But guys, we all need to learn to have a little more faith. ‘Cos wouldn’t that go a long way?

Imagine a world where we could all get out of bed every day, chase our dreams and conquer the world, just because. *umm, that sounds so cringe now I read it back but a little bit of dramatic writing never hurt anyone, OK?* But seriously people, just imagine being able to walk out the door to your dream job every morning, be your self-self with others from the first “hi, nice to meet you”, and be able to adult from the moment you turn 18. And imagine being able to do all of that without anxiety brain (and tummy).

But seriously, it is so OK not to be able to do any of that from day one of your life. I mean, who’s really got all their stuff together in their late teens/early twenties? ‘Cos even those people’s lives we spend hours of our own lives watching/analysing/lusting after don’t have it all worked out. (So I might not have scientific proof of that but no one really knows what they’re doing, right? We’re all just winging it, guys.) And as mum would always remind us on our way out the door to something scary, “have faith”. And who knew, with a little bit of faith, everything always works out how it should. *well duh, aren’t mums always right?*
