Red Gingham Skirt & Girl Power T-Shirt

Wearing a red gingham skirt and girl power t-shirt

As you’re reading this right now, I’m on holiday in the hot sun, quite possibly wearing this little gingham skirt. Don’t you think it’s just the perfect mini skirt for a holiday? I’m imagining shooting this skirt against a white-washed wall – what do you think? Unfortunately, I can’t give you any links to this exact one because it was a vintage thrift shop find. Don’t worry – I’ve linked a few similars below which are equally as cute and give off the same holiday vibe.

When we shot these photographs back at home, I styled the skirt with my trusted Girl Power t-shirt. This thing goes with everything and makes me think I don’t need any other t-shirts ever again as long as I have this one. Even better is the fact that it was from SheIn, because you know it’s never gonna cost you a bomb. So what if the print fades a bit after it’s been washed? It’s nice to have something that’s lived in. Besides, when it only takes £8 out of your bank account, you can’t expect the world from it. What you can expect from it is that you can wear it with pretty much every outfit in your wardrobe. A pair of jeans? Check. A gingham mini skirt? Check. Some ruffle hem trousers? Check.

See what I mean – the options are endless, and this t-shirt will no doubt become your new bff.

I spent a bit of time trying to decide which shoes to wear for this look. I nearly went for my embroidered trainers but what’s better than embroidered trainers when the weather’s hot? Embroidered backless slip-on mules of course. Ego do the best Gucci dupes so you can look expensive without feeling the guilt of buying the actual real deals. These ones come in white, black, pink and nude so you’re spoilt for choice really. If in doubt, my advice is go for one of each. That way you’re covered.
