If you told me you’re not even the littlest bit tempted by the ruffle trend then I probably wouldn’t believe you. Everywhere you turn there’s a piece of clothing covered in ruffles waiting to hit you in the face. Not that I’m complaining because I’m into this trend big time. I think there’s something for everyone with this trend. You could go cute ruffles, chic ruffles, or sassy ruffles just to name a few. Or maybe even combine the three into one look and go for double the ruffles like me. Have I said the word ruffles enough yet?
I actually saw these amazing Missguided trousers in Lissy Roddy’s Spring lookbook and knew that I had to get myself a pair. How cool are they!? OK, so maybe they’re not the most practical thing to wear day to day but who doesn’t want to feel/look like the dancing lady emoji? I’d definitely say these trousers are on the sassy side of the ruffle scale, but paired with this bardot frill top I got super cheap in the Next sale, the whole look is verging more on chic ruffles. You could easily style these trousers up in so many different ways though. Check out Lissy’s video and see how she styles them with the Gucci t-shirt and black ankle boots.
