Faux Leather Mini & Knitwear For Spring

When I first started out blogging I posted a lot about thrifted and vintage pieces because charity shops were the places I got a lot of my clothes from while I was at college. I didn’t ever really think that my wardrobe would be made up of 90% second-hand clothing, but I guess that’s just because I hadn’t ever realised the gems that could come from thrift shopping. Once I left school and got a real life job, that all went out the window, and I moved on to bigger and better things, discovering my love for shops like Zara, ASOS, and H&M. With my mum’s vintage shop, these thrifted gems still find their way into the house though, and in turn, some of them make it onto the blog. It’s not often that we get anything in my size, so I snapped this Topshop mini skirt up (size 8 and shop the exact here!) and styled it up for a spring look on the blog.

While Spring might suggest warmer weather to a lot of people, it’s actually still pretty cold in England right now, so chunky knits are still very relevant so far this season. It’s perfect really because you can buy up all the cheap knitwear from the sale sections in shops, and get all the use out of them straight away. Style your chunky knitwear with a mini skirt to balance the look out and make sure you don’t get too overheated. This gorgeous oversized, slouchy knit was from the Next sale (one of the best sales might I add!) and is currently one of the best bits in my wardrobe. It’s the perfect size to cosy up in for those cooler spring days, but isn’t too thick to wear half-heartedly tucked into your skirt or trousers like I’ve done here. There’s still a few sizes left on the website which you can shop down below, or I’ve linked to some of my other fave knitwear that you can shop right now!
