What was the best bag of 2016? Definitely the mini backpack for me, every time. It all started with my classic white quilted one, and then the black embroidered one from SheIn, and the latest one – and possibly the best yet – is this metallic baby. Metallic tones were pretty huge last year – from metallic foil jeans to rose gold trainers, you name it and you could get it in a metallic hue. 
The great thing about any piece of clothing that’s metallic is that you can keep it so simple around it. It doesn’t need much fuss going on because it’s already the thing that’s gonna catch people’s attention. A pair of simple loose-fitting jeans, a white shirt and some white lace-ups are the best pieces to create a classic look to go with my metallic backpack, and the black tailored jacket smartens the whole thing up. Style tip: keep the colour palette quite neutral next to a metallic piece to make sure it stays the star of the show.
