Off-the-Shoulder Trend

NCFcoldshoulder-1

If you asked me to go into my wardrobe and pick out one top I’d definitely go straight in for a t shirt most days of the week, but I’m kinda diggin’ these off-the-shoulder vibes at the moment. I got mine from Primark because I wasn’t sure how much wear I’d get out of it and didn’t want to spend too much on something I wasn’t completely sold on, but I’m thinking I might have to go back in there for more! This one comes with straps to tie over your shoulders too which I thought I’d be glad of, but turns out I prefer it much more as a strapless piece because it’s just much less hassle! I’m also loving the flounce hem on the sleeves and hemline because it really adds to that boho vibe that comes with an off-shoulder piece. I’m thinking something white with fine red pinstripes would be pretty in this style, paired with light wash denim and tan accessories so watch this space!NCFcoldshoulder-3 NCFcoldshoulder-6 NCFcoldshoulder-4

I styled this look with my new Jamie jeans (I’ve had a little bit of a Topshop jeans splurge this week so watch out for the second pair coming your way pretty soon – and let me tell you, you won’t want to miss them!) and then contrasted the dark indigo colour palette with light stone-coloured accessories. To be honest, I never actually noticed that the hat and shoes go together so well before, but when I picked out these shoes and then was trying to find a way to style out my bad hair-dye job I had a lightbulb moment! This is definitely a combo I’ll be reusing. NCFcoldshoulder-8 NCFcoldshoulder-2 NCFcoldshoulder-5 NCFcoldshoulder-9 NCFcoldshoulder-7
