French Plait

When I was younger my mum always used to do the best hairstyles on me before I went to school, and I’d get comments and questions every time. Before I went to work the other day, I asked her to do my hair again, in a french plait style. I wasn’t sure if it would suit me anymore, but I actually really liked it. Plus it stayed in tight all day, so that I could do a shoot at the beach with it the same evening.

For the shoot, I brought out what have probably been my favourite shorts throughout the warmer days of June and July. They’re by Hearts & Bows originally but as usual, I thrifted them! Somehow I’ve not shown them to you on the blog yet, though..? Well, here they are now, paired with a slogan tee from Republic, and my Primark pool sliders. There’s no pool anywhere near my home, but these have also been at the top of my list for summer essentials while it’s been hot. Sliders over flip flops any day, I say. Although equally as challenging to keep on your feet.
