Make-up is probably the hardest thing to buy, be it on-line or in-store. If you buy on-line, you never really know what the product’s going to be like, from the colour to the texture. If you buy in-store, you can see the colour and the texture, but it’s not exactly the easiest thing to sample. Besides, who knows how many other people have had the product all over their face as well?
That’s why GlamST is so good. Imagine an on-line shop where you can actually try the products out on your own face, before you purchase. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? Well, this is what GlamST offers.
Simply upload a picture of yourself onto GlamST.com (or alternatively you can use one of their models) and try out the products on offer, on yourself, until you find the perfect colours and textures. OK, so you can’t actually physically touch the products you’re thinking of buying, but it gives you a pretty good impression of what you’re getting, and offers a wide range of products and types.
You can choose from foundations, concealers and powders, to eyeliners, eyeshadows and mascaras, and even lipsticks and glosses. Creams, powders, sprays – the choices are endless.
Once you’ve completed your look, you can share it with the rest of the GlamST community, and even your social media sites.

As well as trying out all of the products, GlamST also offers handy hints and tips to enhance your beauty regime. You also have the chance to ask for beauty and make-up related advice from the rest of the community, whether it be which colour lipstick you should wear with your outfit, or which powder would best suit dry skin. You can even share your own advice and tips with other members, if you find the perfect product via GlamST.

Left ~ Josie Maran Natural Volume Lip Gloss | Right ~ YSL Glossy Stain
For my first few looks on GlamST, I decided to focus on lipsticks for Spring. I tried four different ones, and you can see the results above. I found GlamST really helpful, as I’m a bit of a lipstick novice, and don’t really know which colours suit my skintone best. GlamST has helped me to experiment with different colours which I probably wouldn’t have dared to buy without trying, such as the YSL dark red colour. Although I love the YSL Glossy Stain lipstick, GlamST has helped me to see that I would stick to darker colours for autumn and winter. Instead, for now, my favourites are the Buxom Full-On Lip Stick, and the Josie Maran Natural Volume Lip Gloss. Perfect orangey-pinks for Spring.
Now, thanks to GlamST, make-up is the easiest thing to buy, wherever you are.
