Dearest

On Thursday, glitterfizzgirl nominated me for a Liebster Award! Although I’ve already done several posts like these, I really wanted to carry on the Liebster Award and get to know my fellow bloggers better, at the same time as letting them get to know me.

For those new to blogging, or new to the Liebster Award, here are a few pieces of information that you need to know!

1. The Liebster Award has German origins, with the word meaning “dearest” or “most favourite”.
2. The award is aimed at new up-and-coming bloggers. (It was originally for bloggers with less than 3000 followers, but recently, it’s been as a low as 200 – you decide!)
3. You must answer the questions set by the blogger who nominated you, as well as link to their blog in your post.
4. You should then nominate as many bloggers as you want for the award (probably up to 11) and let them know you’ve picked them.
5. Finally, you need to ask a set of new questions for the bloggers you nominate.

If you want, you can also include a set of random facts about yourself that you want your readers to know!

1. Where do you best like to shop?
There are so many to choose from! It really depends on my mood, the time of year, and what I’m looking for as well. My general go-to shops, though, are Bershka, River Island, ASOS, and Boohoo.

2. What is the most important factor to you when getting dressed in the morning?
I have to be comfortable in what I’m wearing. If I’m not really comfortable in an outfit, it will affect me throughout the day, so I have to make sure that I’m truly happy with what I’m wearing each day, and not focus on what others might like.

3. What inspirational quote best sums up you?
Rachel Zoe: “Style is a way of expressing who you are without having to speak” – one thing that people always say to me is how quiet I am, but I know that there’s nothing wrong with not having something to say all the time, and that there are other ways of expressing who you are.

4. Crop trousers – get ready for the spring or falling back in time?
I love crop trousers! In fact, I can’t wait to start turning up my jeans at the bottom, ready for spring.

5. What actress would play you in the movie of your life?
I think I’m too young to say at the moment. I’d probably play myself!

6. Why did you start your blog?
It started as an Instagram account, reposting other people’s styles, and from there I decided to start showing more of my own images. I wanted to showcase my style and inspiration on different platforms, and I’m glad I did!

7. How would you like your blog to develop in 2014?
Onwards and upwards! I just want to keep going, keep blogging, and keep building up more contacts and relationships with my fellow fashion bloggers and readers.

8. Perfect evening?
A night in by the fire, watching telly or blogging.

9. What is your favourite item in your wardrobe?
That’s tough – it’ll probably change by tomorrow! The thing that I can’t live without at the moment is a pair of black skinnies.

10. What do you think is the biggest fashion faux-pas?
I don’t think onesies should be acceptable as anything but pyjamas/lounge wear. Don’t get me wrong, I do own a panda onsie, but I would never wear it out of the house!

11. What trend would you like to see come back into fashion?
There aren’t any particular trends I would like to see come back into fashion, but one trend that I’m glad did come back into fashion is the crop top. When they’re worn in the right way, I love them!
