Since dip dying my hair using bleach a few weeks ago, I thought I might try using a colour shampoo for a while, to try and enhance the blonde. When rifling through our collection of shampoos at home, the only colour shampoo I could find was Aussie Colour Mate. I loved that shampoo so much, and it really got me into Aussie hair products, which, of course, led me to purchasing these shampoos. They’re not for coloured hair, but I also use quite a lot of heat on my hair so I thought I’d try this set of Take The Heat hair products. So far they’ve worked really well and my hair has been feeling so soft, and it even looks healthier on the ends already.

I sometimes like to use my GHDs to create a slight wave in my hair because it’s easier and quicker to add definition, without being as full-on as properly curling my hair. To create this look, you simply take a section of hair at the top of where you want the curl to start, and then twist the hair around the straightners until you reach the end of your hair. I only have the wide-plate straightners, but I think a better, more defined curl would be created using the thinner straightners.

Since it’s summer and we’ve had some really good weather here, I don’t like to be putting on loads of thick make-up on my face. I live in England so you have to make the most of the sun while it lasts. This summer, I’ve just been using Collection’s Lasting Perfection concealer under my eyes and over any blemishes I have. I’ve also then been using a Bourjois blusher, and blending this in with a wide blending brush. This just gives you a smooth, glow-y look, without covering all your skin.

I do A LOT of nail art, and so I have to be especially careful that my nails aren’t constantly breaking and chipping because of the nail polish. I always use a base coat first, and my favourite is the Forever Strong Pro by Maybelline. It contains Calcium, Iron and Silica to put all of the natural minerals back into your nails, stopping them from drying out, and flaking.
