It can be quite difficult to have the energy and motivation to put together an outfit interesting enough to go on my blog everyday, as sometimes I just want some quick and easy clothes that I don’t have to think too hard about. So because of this, I decided to put together an outfit that I didn’t have to wear (the weather’s not really suitable for shorts today!), and that I could show in a different format.
When I was rifling through my wardrobe, looking at what I could put in my blog post, the only thing that really jumped out at me today was this bright yellow knitted jumper. I know it’s summer, but I do live in England, and so that doesn’t necessarily always mean that it’s going to be warm and sunny! I’ve also seen on Instagram, pictures of girls wearing shorts with knitted jumpers, and it always looks great, so I thought: why not?
I always think that this jumper looks best with greys and blacks and the only pair of black shorts that I own are these ones from Topshop with daisies on them. These turned out to be perfect because each little daisy has a fleck of yellow on them, and I thought the yellow of my jumper might bring this more to attention. The rest was just adding in accessories and shoes – simple.
Then when I was deciding on a title for my post, the daisies on my shorts reminded me of a picture I’d taken a couple of weeks back in the garden, of some really cute little daisy-like flowers, and when you put all the pictures together, it makes for a bright, fresh summer blog post – enjoy!

Loving the jumper and the shorts! I don’t usually go for bright ones, but the mustard jumper is really quite nice (:
